Why We Specialise in Laser Cutting Metal (And Nothing Else)

At Flamin Fabrications, we specialise in one thing—metal.

We’ve been working with metal since the very start of our business, and over the years, it’s become second nature. So when we decided to bring in laser cutting, the choice was clear: we needed a machine designed specifically for cutting metal—and nothing else.

Here’s why staying focused on what we know gives you better results.

We Know Metal Inside Out

From fabrication and folding to brackets, parts, and custom jobs—we’ve built our business around metalwork.

Our team understands how metal behaves, what finish is needed, how to prep files for clean cuts, and how to get the best result across mild steel, aluminium, and stainless. That experience is built into everything we do.

Our Laser Cutter Is Built for the Job

Our in-house laser machine was chosen because it’s built for metal—not timber, plastic, or mixed materials. It handles:

  • Mild Steel up to 20mm thick

  • Aluminium up to 6mm

  • Stainless Steel up to 6mm

That means tighter tolerances, smoother edges, faster turnaround, and no trial-and-error. We know the equipment, and we know how to get the most out of it.

Why Not Cut Other Stuff?

Put simply—it’s not what we’re set up for. Our machine isn’t designed to cut acrylics, timber, or other materials, and we don’t pretend otherwise.

By keeping our focus sharp, we avoid:

  • Smoke, melting, or burn marks from unsuitable materials

  • Damage to the machine from unsafe substances

  • Delays or quality issues from trying to cut things outside our scope

Instead, we double down on clean, efficient, and expert metal cutting—because that’s what we do best.

The Benefits of Specialising

By sticking to what we know, you get:

  • Fast and reliable quoting

  • Clean, consistent cuts

  • Guidance on the best material for your job

  • Experienced hands that understand fabrication beyond just the laser table

We also keep a range of standard sheet metals in stock, and if your project needs something different, we can special order it.

Let’s Keep It Simple

If it’s metal and you’ve got a DXF file—we can cut it.

Upload your design through our online quoting tool and we’ll get you a fast, accurate price. If you don’t have a DXF yet, we can help turn your drawings into one for a small fee.
