When building your ultimate touring 4WD, or adding functionality that supports your lifestyle, a Ute Conversion might be the way to get more bang while saving some bucks.
Shelling out for a $70-$100k Dual Cab may not make sense to you when you have a perfectly good 4x4 rig, and all you might need to do is a Ute Conversion.
Flamin Fabrications is one of the industry leaders when it comes to converting Nissan Patrols and Toyota Land Cruisers into an Extra Cab or Dual Cab Ute.
Here’s a step-by-step video covering the main points of the Dual Cab conversion on a GU Patrol.

Depending on your requirements and the type of build, Flamin Fabrications either construct a rear wall, or in some cases re-use the factory rear wall. Each rear wall is secured with full penetration welds and reinforced structures matching or improving on the original factory standards.
When a tray is required, factory-type tray mounts can be supplied to allow fitment of a tray of your choice, or you can have a custom tray crafted by Flamin Fabrications.
Engineering
As with all major structural changes to a motor vehicle, an Engineer’s Certificate needs to be issued before the vehicle can be deemed as Roadworthy and coverable under insurance, and legal to drive on the road. You can work with a Flamin Fabrication’s preferred Engineer, or you can use an Engineer of your choice.
